Starting the Year Off Right

This year I want to take more photos both locally and when I am away from home.  I started off the year with a trip to the Tofino area, where I had the chance to do a good amount of shooting and appreciating that beautiful area.  January is frequently stormy and this year was no different.

The waves were great and a number of people took advantage of them for surfing.  There was plenty of rain and enough sun to make for some beautiful days and interesting sunrises.

A short distance away, in Ucluelet, is the Wild Pacific Trail, which offers an interesting walk through the woods, then along the water with a view of “the Graveyard of the Pacific” and the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse.

I look forward to my next visit to the area as well as my next adventure, be it local or elsewhere.  You’ll be sure to see more here (soon).
